What will you be doing?

As a Strategy Intern at frog, you will collaborate with designers, researchers, technologists, and program managers on various projects. You will face a range of tasks depending on programmes, be prepared to:

  • Identify the knowledge gaps, when faced with a challenge from the client organisation. Thoroughly plan data collection, gather insights using primary and secondary sources and analyse collected data with a focus on environmental, social, and economic impacts.
  • Help clients to embrace transformation and change conceptually. Understand market dynamics, industry trends and future risks swiftly and apply them to the future-oriented brand strategy.
  • Reassess and craft new innovative and competitively sound business models that prioritize long-term resilience and sustainability. When suitable use financial modelling to support your recommendations.
  • Envision and co-create new products, services, and experiences together with the team. You may work at any stage of the product research and development lifecycle.

Your role is to ensure that your output is sensitive to the needs of end users, the goals of our client’s businesses and the long-term well-being of our planet. You are empathetic, curious, humble, and creative. You don’t accept the world as you find it but strive to improve it. You excel at simplifying complexity to focus on the core of a business or strategic issue. You enjoy learning.

We want you to have:

  • Good storytelling, writing, and presentation skills
  • Financial- and statistical analysis and business case development skills
  • Current or recent enrolment Master's degree program (e.g. MBA, International Management, Research, Innovation, etc.)
  • Experience approaching ambiguous questions
  • Commitment to sustainability: circular business models and sustainability strategies
  • Minimum of Level C1 German skills, C1 English skills
  • Minimum of 6-month availability for an internship

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Experience in identifying and delivering on growth opportunities and bringing products or services to market.
  • Exposure to identifying sustainable opportunities as well as developing Circular Business Models
  • Exposure to current sustainability frameworks (e.g. SDG, CSRD, SBTI, etc.)
  • The ability to prepare compelling presentations in Keynote and PowerPoint
  • An undergraduate degree in business, entrepreneurship, finance, research, engineering, anthropology, human-computer interaction, or liberal arts
  • Hands on research expertise, from qualitative research methods to quantitative research skills including survey design and data analysis.
  • An interest in global trends, from culture to people and business to climate, and how that impacts our world
  • Experience with SPSS or other statistical software
  • Experience working in a creative environment with designers, and an interest in human-centered design (sometimes called design thinking)

  2. Several companies are working on forms of flying cars / drone taxis. What strategies would you advise a company to employ in order to drive consumer adoption of this new category of transportation?
  3. In a rapidly changing world, what time horizons make sense for strategic planning? How would you advise a global 2000 company to think about their planning in light of social and environmental concerns?
