What will you be doing?
Experience and Accessibility Designers are responsible for the design of digitally enabled products and services. As a Senior Instructional Designer – Experience & Accessibility, you will use your learning and development skillset across the service, interaction, and visual design domains to craft holistic education—to ensure designers incorporate accessible needs and accommodations from early-stage research and idea generation through detailed design of product service features and user stories in a digital product. You will determine the best approach to disperse foundational accessibility knowledge. Thoughtful socialization of this content (medium, format, length) is critical to success. A robust understanding of product design is critical in terms of designing relevant education for the collective team with an ability to prioritize across product tracks.
In this specific role, you will join a bustling and collaborative team that leads the digital product discovery and design for a global Quick Service Restaurant – one that feeds 1% of the world’s population every single day. You will play a central role ensuring accessibility standards are met and knowledge transfer occurs throughout the product organization, partnering closely with Experience, Product Management and Engineering (who are as passionate about product as they are burgers and fries). Your educational content for accessibility might be focused on things like mobile ordering, loyalty, kiosk, crew facing restaurant technology, or web, just to name a few. This is a hybrid position; three days per week you’ll link up with your team IRL at this global company’s headquarters in Chicago’s burgeoning West Loop.
