What will you be doing?

frog is looking for a motivated Design Intern who possesses a unique balance of design, strategy and technical skills focused on Generative AI, especially Large Language Models.

As a GenAI Design Intern, you will support teams on client-facing projects, pitches and internal initiatives. The role focuses on helping clients that want to enhance their digital product offerings through GenAI. You will be guided by experienced practitioners who will help you understand frog’s methodologies and deliver high-quality work, in the context of interdisciplinary projects.

Project teams rely on GenAI Designers to:

  • Collect, ideate & prioritize relevant use cases for GenAI in a business context
  • Understand user needs, market opportunities, business requirements and technical feasibility to help define project requirements
  • Conduct and synthesize foundational research interviews and usability testing sessions
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create digital product experience concepts that leverage GenAI in unique and valuable ways
  • Bridge the knowledge/communication gap between LLM developers and other team members (designers, strategists, etc.) who are less familiar with AI capabilities and constraints
  • Create digital design artifacts (user flows, UI mock-ups and prototypes) that demonstrate product behavior for defined GenAI use cases and features. This includes mapping out complex logic flows and fallback solutions, in collaboration with an LLM developer.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and tools related to AI and software development
  • Provide input on business cases and success metrics for GenAI products

We want you to have:

  • Recently completed a university degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction or a related design discipline (we also accept interns who are in the middle of a Master’s degree)
  • A good understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, especially LLM capabilities, advantages, constraints, risks and common use cases
  • Hands-on experience designing and supporting development of an LLM-based product or functional prototype (can be a professional project or school project)
  • Basic knowledge on how to execute prompts and prompt chains
  • Passion for staying on-top of the latest research and development in the field of AI
  • Robust practical and theoretical grounding in product design and product strategy through your studies and professional experience
  • Well-developed UX and UI design skills, demonstrated in your portfolio of recent work
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, such as Figma
  • Ability to rationalize your decisions effectively and present your work clearly, through strong presentation design and storytelling techniques
  • A product development mindset, including openness to collaborating with business and tech teams, working iteratively based on user feedback, managing constraints, etc.
  • Affinity with frog’s values, and a passion for creating products that meet peoples’ functional and emotional needs
  • Business level fluency in English & German

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Understanding of math and/or data science fundamentals related to machine learning (e.g. probability, statistics, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python) to collaborate with developers and understand AI model integration
  • Experience working with Agile scrum tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.

Application Instructions

  • As part of your application, please include a link or PDF of your portfolio of recent work (presented in English), highlighting your abilities and experience relevant to the role. It should highlight examples of how you work, think, collaborate, and contribute to great design outcomes. Please note that we are unable to accept any applications without a portfolio.

Please note:

  • Applicants should be available for six months, ideally starting mid-September. For questions, please contact wioleta.jonas@capgemini.com.
